PP wood pulp nonwoven fabric is a nonwoven fabric made mainly from polypropylene (PP) and wood pulp through the spunlace process, combining the strength of synthetic fibers with the environmental friendliness of natural fibers.

Characteristics of PP wood pulp nonwoven fabric

1. Raw material composition: Usually composed of wood pulp (up to 80%) and polypropylene (PP 20%) and other chemical fibers, it combines the moisture absorption of natural fibers with the durability of synthetic fibers.

2. Physical properties:

High water absorption: Absorbs water quickly (≤2 seconds), suitable for cleaning scenarios.

Soft and breathable: Has a texture similar to textiles, good drape, and is comfortable to wear.

Moderate strength: The breaking strength in the longitudinal and transverse directions is 60-80N and 30-50N respectively, meeting daily usage requirements.

3. Environmental advantages: Some products are biodegradable (≥90% degradation rate in 180 days under composting conditions), and the production process does not require chemical adhesives, reducing pollution.

Production process of PP wood pulp nonwoven fabric

It adopts the spunlace composite technology, with core steps including:

1. Fiber mixing: Loosening and mixing wood pulp and PP fibers.

2. Wet web formation: Forming a fiber web structure through air flow or water flow.

3. High-pressure water entanglement: Entangling the fibers with high-pressure water flow at 220-240 kJ/m² to form a stable fabric surface without the need for adhesives.
